
The Following are typical health problems associated with the KC Bulldog. Significantly, the VB has no breed specific health problems. This means that the the KC Bulldog will generate substantially higher vet bills. Indeed, a point to ponder.
1. Eyes Aberrant cilia/Distichiasis:
Eyelashes growing abnormally. Can be a serious condition if rubbing against the eyeball. Can lead to corneal ulcers.
2. Ectropion: An abnormal rolling out of the eyelids (see corneal ulcers).
3. Eversion of nictitating membrane: A condition where the third eyelid is protruding. This condition is also known as Cherry Eye.

4. Cataract:
A change in structure of the lens of the eye leading to cloudiness and usually to blindness.
5. Keratitis sicca/ Keratoconjunctivitis sicca:
A condition where one or both eyes do not produce a normal amount or type of tears. This is also known as Dry Eye and can lead to corneal ulcers and cherry eyes if untreated.
6. Persistent pupillary membrane:
A developmental abnormality where the membrane forming the iris does not form properly.
7. Skin Acne:
Same thing as in humans, affects the muzzle and lip areas.
8. Demodicosis:
A kind of skin disease (mange) caused by microscopic Demodex canis mites living within the skin layers and producing an immunodeficiency syndrome. 
9. Fold dermatitis:
An inflammation of skin folds especially in dogs with loose skin. Bulldogs are especially susceptible in the face and tail areas.
10. Folliculitis:
An infection of the hair follicles.
11. Muzzle pyoderma:
An infectious skin disease on the muzzle of an animal.
12. Pododermatitis:
A skin infection of the paws.
13. Elbow dysplasia:
An abnormal development of the elbow joint.
14. Elbow subluxation:
A condition where the elbow joint is loose and out of alignment.
15. Fragmented coronoid:
Process osteochondrosis of the elbow joint.
16. Mouth and Jaw Abnormal Dentition:
Abnormal placement, number and development of teeth.
17. Cleft lip:
A condition where the two halves of the upper lip do not join together. Cleft palate and cleft lip are often seen together.
18. Cleft palate:
A condition where the roof of the mouth is not closed and the inside of the nose opens into the mouth.
19. Elongated soft palate:
The soft palate is abnormally long and causes breathing disorders.
20. Skeletal System Parosteitis:
Inflammation of tissue around a bone.
21. Short skull:
A skull that is abnormally short for the breed in question.
22. Short tail:
A tail that is abnormally short for the breed in question.
23. Hip dysplasia:
A developmental malformation or subluxation of the hip joints. Causes movement to be painful in its most severe form.
24. Spina bifida:
A developmental abnormality where some vertebra are malformed thereby exposing the spinal cord.
25. Hemivertebra:
A particular kind of malformation of the vertebra where only half of the structure is formed
26. Reproductive Vaginal Hyperplasia:
An overgrowth of tissues of the vagina (polyps)
27. Dystocia:
Complications of the birth process (difficult birth) 95% of births are c-sections.
28. Respiratory Stenotic Nares:
Narrow nasal opening.
29. Hypoplasia of Trachea:
A trachea that fails to develop fully.
30. Ciculatory Arteriovenous fistula:
An abnormal connection that forms between arteries and veins.
31. Von Willebrand's disease:
A type of bleeding disorder caused by defective blood platelet function.
32. Mitral valve defects:
A group of abnormalities of the mitral valve of the heart.
33. Pulmonic stenosis:
A condition where one of the valves of the heart does not open properly.
34. Pyloric stenosis:
A condition where the opening leading from the stomach does not function properly.
35. Miscellaneous Hypothyroidism:
A common endocrine disease where the body produces an abnormally low amount of thyroid hormones. An autoimmune destruction of the thyroid gland. Can be managed by injections.
36. Hydrocephalus:
A condition where there is an abnormal accumulation of fluid in the ventricles of the brain.
37. Oligodendroglioma:
A cancer arising from a type of cell found in the brain and spinal cord.
38. Brachycephalic Upper-Airway Syndrome:
A grouping of conditions leading to decreased tolerance to exercise/excitement/high temperature; difficulty breathing; susceptibility to collapse.

Interdigital Pyoderma:
Infections between the toes.

40. Bulldog Hips - Broader hips & Narrower hips.

The Kennel Club Bulldog has the narrower hips while the Victorian Bulldog has the wider hips. As a result the Victorian Bulldog is more likely to be self-whelping than the Kennel Club Bulldog because of its broader hips.
41. The Kennel Club Bulldog has a more pronounced undershot jaw which leaves less room within the mouth for the tongue which results in breathing problems and other difficulties.
