The CKC's Mission Statement;

"In order to correct some of the major genetic problems in the Dog Kingdom today, Continental Kennel Club was founded as an open registry with much broader standards.  As an open registry with broader standards, we have created a larger gene pool, giving the breeder more flexibility in breeding more sound and healthier dogs.  By bringing together dogs from various other Kennel Clubs worldwide, we will be working toward correcting many of the genetic problems that exist today."
